2019 QuickCash Corp Vita Malt SVGCC Volleyball Competition - Day 5 Results

Year One Division of Arts, Sciences and General Studies (DASGS) and defending champions, the Division of Technical and Vocational Education (DTVE) will contest the finals of the 2019 QuickCash Corp. Vita Malt SVGCC Inter-Divisional Volleyball Competition, when it is played on Friday 15th March 2019, at the Arnos Vale Sports Complex.

Year One DASGS warmed up for Friday’s finals, with a comfortable straight sets win over the Division of Teacher Education (DTE), 25-14, 25-11, 25-11 in Tuesday’s opening game.

That was however not the case for the defending champions, DTVE, who had to come from one set down to defeat Year Two DASGS.

Year Two DASGS took the first set 25-22 before DTVE levelled the match with a 25-14 second set win. The defending champions then went on to win an exciting third set 25-23, before sealing the issue 25-17 in the fourth set.

Both teams ended on 6 points and were tied on a set differential of positive one. The Technical Division however advanced based on a better points differential, 25 compared to negative 3.

DTE and Year Two DASGS will playoff for third place from 1:30 p.m. Friday, before the Finals and presentation of awards thereafter.
