Division of Technical and Vocational Education

Can I apply to both DASGS and DTVE in the same application?

Yes.  When you create an application on our online system, you are given three choices.  Each choice can be a programme from either the Division of Arts, Sciences and General Studies (DASGS) or the Division of Technical and Vocational Education (DTVE).  This means that on your application you can apply to programmes at both DASGS and DTVE.

We strongly advise that you select your programme choices by order of preference.  This means that you select the programme you most want to pursue as your first choice.  Your second choice, should be a programme that you are interested in doing if you do not get into your programme of first choice.  Similarly, your third choice should be a programme you are interested in pursuing if you do not gain entry into your first or second choice.

How many CAPE subjects can I select?

An applicant who selects CAPE as a programme option is allowed to select a minimum of three (3) or a maximum of four (4) subjects. To pursue four subjects, an applicant must have attained at least seven (7) grade ones (1s) at CSEC.
