
Career Opportunity: Dean, Division of Arts, Sciences and General Studies (DASGS)
Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals for the post of Dean of the Division of Arts, Sciences, and General Studies (DASGS) of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College (SVGCC).
The Dean, DASGS, will be part of the senior administrative team of the College and will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the Division’s programmes.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of the Dean, DASGS, will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Ensuring the smooth operation and overall management of the Division and its Departments
- Serving as the liaison between the Departments and the College’s Senior Administrative team
- Coordinating and supervising on-site clerical and technical staff
- Addressing grievances from students, faculty, and staff within the Division
- Identifying and reporting the Division’s needs, including space, equipment, and staffing
- Organising staff development activities and securing adjunct staff when necessary
- Appraising Heads of Department and clerical staff, submitting reports to the Deputy Director within two weeks after the academic year ends
- Overseeing examination procedures and verifying graduation lists
- Preparing divisional budgets and approving library acquisitions
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Applicants should have:
- A master’s degree in Education, Leadership, or a related field
- A minimum of 10 years of teaching experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Strong experience in performing administrative tasks such as budgeting, reporting, planning, and development
