
Job Opportunity: Marketing and Communications Officer
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the position of Marketing and Communications Officer at the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College. The Marketing and Communications Officer will play a vital role in strengthening the SVGCC’s public profile, brand identity, and overall visibility. The Officer will lead the development and coordination of strategic marketing and communications initiatives, ensuring that the SVGCC’s programmes, achievements, activities, and opportunities are effectively communicated to internal and external audiences. The role will also be instrumental in fostering strong stakeholder relationships, supporting student recruitment and engagement, and ensuring consistent, professional, and impactful representation of the SVGCC across various communication platforms.

The main duties & responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Develop and implement marketing and communications strategies that promote the College’s programmes, services, activities, and institutional brand
- Manage the College’s brand identity and reputation, ensuring consistency in branding, messaging, and public representation
- Create, coordinate, and manage content across digital, social media, print, and other communication platforms
- Lead social media and digital marketing initiatives, including content planning, audience engagement, and promotional campaigns
- Plan, coordinate, and promote institutional events, activities, and campaigns to enhance visibility and stakeholder engagement
- Manage media relations and external communications, including developing media content and facilitating opportunities to promote the College
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, audience needs, promotional opportunities, and areas for improving the College’s visibility and reach
- Coordinate internal communications to ensure that faculty, staff, students, and other internal stakeholders receive timely, accurate, and consistent information
- Build and maintain effective relationships and collaborations with internal departments, faculty and staff, external institutions, businesses, community organisations, and other stakeholders to support coordinated marketing and communications efforts
- Develop relationships with prospective students and external stakeholders to strengthen awareness of the College and support student recruitment and institutional engagement
Qualifications & Experience
- At least a Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or another closely related field
- At least three years of relevant professional experience in marketing, communications,public relations, digital marketing, or a related area
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing marketing and communications strategies and campaigns
- Experience in content development, social media management, digital marketing, and brand management
- Experience in event promotion, media relations, stakeholder engagement, and/or public relations would be an asset
