
College Access Programme: Pathways to Success (CAPPS)
The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College (SVGCC) is pleased to introduce its College Access Programme: Pathways to Success (CAPPS), an initiative designed to provide alternative entry routes for students who require additional support to gain admission to higher education programmes at the SVGCC.
Programme Overview
CAPPS is a full-time programme, delivered over two (2) semesters, which focuses on bridging critical gaps in literacy, numeracy, and college readiness skills. The curriculum includes general education courses alongside specialised core courses based on students’ areas of interest. The programme is offered at a cost of EC$900.00 – payment plans are available.

Application Information
Applications to CAPPS will be accepted from Monday 10th February to Friday 21st February 2025. An application fee of EC$20.00 must be paid to the Bursary Office at the SVGCC Villa Campus. Payments will be accepted from Tuesday 11th February to Monday 24th February 2025 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. A copy of the completed application form must be presented when making payment.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for CAPPS, applicants must meet at least one (1) of the following criteria:
- Three (3) CXC CSEC passes or equivalent;
- Two (2) CXC CSEC passes and two (2) CCSLC passes;
- CVQ Level 1 certification
Matriculation to Higher Education Programmes
To earn a certificate of completion, students must satisfy all course requirements within one academic year. Students who maintain a minimum attendance of 80%, demonstrate good conduct, and achieve a GPA of 2.25 or higher will qualify for matriculation into an Associate Degree or Certificate programme at the SVGCC.
