
Job Opportunity: Procurement Officer
Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals for the post of Procurement Officer within the Finance Department of the Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Community College (SVGCC).
SUMMARY OF DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The role of Procurement Officer includes but is not limited to:
➔ Sourcing and acquiring goods and services needed by the SVGCC, ensuring cost-effectiveness, and high quality standards
➔ Managing vendor relationships by efficiently evaluating suppliers, products, services, and negotiating contracts
➔ Monitoring inventory levels to ensure timely ordering and availability of all necessary items
➔ Drafting, reviewing, and managing procurement contracts to protect the SVGCC’s interests
➔ Ensuring that procurement activities are aligned with the SVGCC’s financial objectives and budget forecasts
➔ Maintaining compliance with organisational policies and standards
➔ Preparing and presenting custom reports on procurement activities
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
To be considered for the post, applicants should have: 
- At least a Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
 - A minimum of 2 years similar or relevant experience.
