2026 CAPPS ADMISSIONS
The College Access Programme: Pathways to Success (CAPPS) is a full-time programme delivered over one academic year (two semesters).
Students who attain a final Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 2.65 will become eligible for placement in a programme at the Division of Arts, Sciences and General Studies (DASGS) or the Division of Technical and Vocational Education (DTVE).
CAPPS classes for the 2026-2027 academic year are scheduled to begin on September 14, 2026.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must meet at least ONE of the following criteria:
⦁ 3 CSEC subjects (Grade I, II OR III)
OR
⦁ 2 CSEC subjects (Grade I, II OR III) AND 2 CCSLC passes
PROGRAMME STRUCTURE
CAPPS consists of two types of courses: General Education Courses (taken by all students) and Core Courses (based on the student’s area of specialisation)

⦁ Mathematics II
⦁ Language Skills I
⦁ Language Skills II
⦁ Computer Applications for College
Core Courses:
CAPPS – Business Studies
⦁ Introduction to Business
⦁ Introduction to Accounting
⦁ Introduction to Economics
⦁ Fundamentals of Customer Service and Front Desk Procedures
CAPPS – General Studies
⦁ Introduction to Information and Communication Technology
⦁ Introduction to Law
⦁ Introduction to Business
⦁ Introduction to Psychology
CAPPS – Hospitality
⦁ Introduction to the Business of Tourism and Hospitality
⦁ Fundamentals of Customer Service and Front Desk Procedures
⦁ Fundamentals of Food and Drink Service
⦁ Fundamentals of Housekeeping
CAPPS – General Construction
⦁ Fundamentals of General Construction 1
⦁ Fundamentals of General Construction 2
⦁ Entrepreneurial Strategy
Students enrolled in the General Construction and Hospitality programmes will be eligible for CVQ certification.
Applications will be accepted from August 30 to September 6, 2026.

Payments can be made from Monday, August 31 – Monday, September 7 at the Finance Department, SVGCC Villa Campus, between 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. (weekdays only).
