About
Programmes
- Applicants MUST be at least 17 years old at the time of admission.
- Applicants must have a minimum of five (5) subjects at CSEC/CXC level.
- Mandatory (compulsory) subjects are Mathematics, English Language, Biology or Human and Social Biology.
- Applicants MUST NOT have more than two (2) CXC/CSEC subjects with grade of three (3).
- GCE O'Level at grades A, B or C are accepted.
- CAPE subjects at grade level 1-4 are accepted.
Lists of Compulsory and Accepted Subjects (Pre RN)
Please note that a subject passed at different levels or from a different examination board will be counted as ONE (1) subject for matriculation purposes. For example, French passes at CSEC and or GCE and or CAPE, would be regarded as ONE (1) subject.

The following subjects are not accepted for entry into Nursing and Midwifery programmes.
- Visual and Performing Arts (Courses)
- Office Procedures/Office Administration
- Electrical Installation
- Building Technology
- Technical Drawing
- Physical Education and Sports
- Shorthand
- Typing/Electronic Document Preparation and Management (EDPM)
- Music
- Home Economics (Cookery/Clothing & Textiles)
